“I thought I would give you a little feedback. 18 months ago you took a group of (then) year 10 students on our first trip across Dartmoor as one school – East Bridgwater Community School. At the time we were very worried that this group of boys were headed in the wrong direction and likely to really mess up their last two years at school.
I am convinced that the time they spent with you walking over Dartmoor was a real tipping point in their adolescence. I am delighted to be able to update you that all of them are on track to gain at least 8 GCSE’s including English and Maths this summer. They have all made fantastic progress both socially and academically over the past year and a half and this is in no small part thanks to your input. Indeed, they still refer to some of the work you did with them – even the little details like how to shake hands.
Thank you for your help with these young adults it is immensely rewarding that they are all planning to be in college this coming September.”
